About the role
- BMS Engineer providing technical leadership for HVAC control systems and BMS across APAC region. Collaborating with teams to ensure project success and operational excellence in data centers.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for BMS and controls systems across APAC sites
- Contribute to the development, implementation, verification, and enforcement of engineering policies, procedures, and standards
- Lead BMS projects of varying size and complexity from a controls and integration perspective
- Ensure local activities align with regional and global standards
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including design and construction, regional and local operations, vendors, consultants, and customers
- Identify risks and recommend system-level improvements to enhance reliability and performance
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and assess suitability of components for deployment
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for BMS, training internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in customer meetings as the BMS SME, including requirements gathering and technical issue resolution
- Support customer RFQs and technical inquiries related to BMS
Requirements
- Diploma, degree, or relevant qualification in Controls, BMS, Automation, or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in control system design, integration, commissioning, or lifecycle management, with strong emphasis on controls
- Proven experience working in data center environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good judgment in selecting tools and methods
- Experience with multiple BMS platforms
- Knowledge of MQTT, RESTful APIs, or modern data integration architectures
- Experience standardizing BMS deployments across multi-site or multi-country portfolios
