About the role

  • Software QA & Test Engineer focusing on testing and quality assurance at innovative software company. Involves work in testing, Angular, and DevOps in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Your focus: 70% testing
  • Systematically perform manual tests of features (functional, UI, edge cases, error scenarios).
  • Create, structure and clearly document test cases.
  • Write ticket-ready bug reports — reproducible, precise and complete.
  • Run regression tests before releases.
  • Automated testing: build and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, E2E).
  • Develop E2E tests in Playwright/Cypress or similar tools.
  • Maintain test data, mocking and test environments.
  • Increase the level of automation — fewer manual steps, more stability.
  • Quality assurance: maintain a clean QA backlog.
  • Refine the Definition of Done together with devs and product.
  • Collect, document and make test metrics transparent.
  • New feature = define the test strategy before it goes live.
  • 20% Frontend (Angular): light to medium tasks in the Angular frontend.
  • Check and reproduce bugs and resolve smaller fixes yourself.
  • UI improvements and small component adjustments.
  • Add and maintain frontend tests (unit & integration).
  • Test API integrations and, if necessary, correct issues in code.
  • 10% DevOps: participate in CI/CD workflows for automated tests.
  • Adjust pipeline steps (build, test, deploy).
  • Stabilize test jobs (timing, mocks, data handling).
  • Basic understanding of Docker setups.
  • Awareness of logging, monitoring and release quality.
  • Maintain Grafana dashboards and create automated alerts.

Requirements

  • Fluent German (spoken and written) is required (C1)
  • Strong testing mindset — quality is not an afterthought for you.
  • Experience in manual testing AND enthusiasm for automated testing.
  • Good Angular knowledge (sufficient for bug fixes & test adjustments).
  • Basic understanding of Kotlin/Java is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Experience with test automation or willingness to ramp up quickly.
  • Very structured, clean way of working.
  • Precise documentation — tests must be traceable and reproducible.
  • Independence, clear communication, analytical thinking.

Benefits

  • Remote-first, flexible hours, realistic part-time arrangements
  • Direct collaboration with the CTO and product team — no bureaucracy
