Responsibilities
Design and further development of storage solutions
Responsible for creating and operating PoCs/PoTs (Proofs of Concept / Proofs of Technology)
Preparation of solution concepts, detailed designs, disaster recovery concepts, service descriptions and information concepts
Development of solution proposals
Conceptual design of data migrations and high-availability solutions
Elaboration of architecture- and process-relevant service components
Identification of automation potential and implementation of automations for the service
Documentation of work results in compliance with the prescribed EPDF process and creation of service descriptions, security concepts, implementation plans and operations manuals
Modeling technical and process-related changes to the Managed Storage service in ARIS
Creation or adaptation of the prescribed handover documents for Operations
Requirements
Language skills: German at least level C1 and English level B1
Experience with BSI IT security standards (at least 2 years)
Experience in complex enterprise IT environments in the following areas (minimum 5 years): SAN/Fibre Channel networks, IP-based storage networks, block storage systems (focus on Dell and IBM) including geo-redundant topologies, storage virtualization, backup storage systems (focus on Data Domain and tape libraries), object storage, software-defined storage (focus on Ceph)
Experience in producing concepts (e.g., architecture concepts, information security concepts, design specifications, PoC result documents, technical support manuals, etc.) (minimum 3 years)
Experience in planning/designing SAN- and IP-based storage infrastructures in data centers including high availability, geo-redundancy, multi-tenancy, access control, data security, encryption and hardening measures (minimum 5 years)
