About the role

• IT-Systemingenieur/in supporting the IT-infrastructure services for Deutschlandradio across Berlin and Köln. Ensuring stable operations, admin, and development of IT solutions in a public broadcasting environment.

Responsibilities

• Co-responsibility for the operation and further development of central core services of the IT infrastructure
• Ensuring stable, high-performance and secure operation of application servers
• Execution, maintenance and documentation of user and access rights management processes
• Participation in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Development and automation of tools, scripts and interfaces
• Support and administration of client-server applications and web applications
• Active participation in projects and assistance with planning, implementation and documentation of new technical solutions

Requirements

• Degree in (media or business) computer science, engineering, or an equivalent professional background
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders
• Solid knowledge of IT infrastructure and operation of complex system environments
• Practical experience administering Windows and Linux server environments
• Confident use of requirements analysis and documentation methods
• Experience with scripting and developing automated solutions is an advantage
• Knowledge of and initial practical experience with container-based platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) are desirable but not required
• Decisiveness, structured and creative problem-solving skills
• Very good German language skills (C1 or C2)
