Responsibilities
**What You´ll Do**
Create engineering design, prototypes, and manufacturing plans for products under design and development.
Generate 3D CAD models, drawings, schematics, bills of material, and other related documentation required for manufacturing, integration and testing.
Deliver technical documentation including any engineering calculations, analysis and assumptions required to substantiate your design decisions and solutions.
Manage suppliers and manufacturers by addressing any technical questions and resolving any issues which may arise during the manufacturing process.
Select standard parts, fasteners, equipment, and consumables following best practices and industry standards.
Coach junior engineers and interns in mechanical design, manufacturing and CAD.
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions during different development stages.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of the components into the vehicle.
Requirements
**What You’ll Need**
BSc. In Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or a related discipline.
Ideally, technical training as a mechanical designer/ drafter.
3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with close ties to manufacturing.
Experience with design of automated solutions, special machines or test benches is a benefit.
Ideally, experience in several different phases - design, build, integration, test, and operation.
Good communication skills, proactive attitude, and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work to strict timescales as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team and autonomously.
The ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
Willingness to travel to different Destinus sites in Switzerland (max. 20%)
Fluency in English and German language is required.
