About the role

  • Section manager overseeing actuarial analyses and business solutions at Desjardins. Collaborating with various internal teams to drive growth and performance in the insurance sector.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for relationship with internal partners, including Growth, Marketing and Distribution teams
  • Collaborate with project, research, performance, pricing, and underwriting teams
  • Participate in growth orientations and ensure implementation of analytical solutions
  • Support the manager in work organization, strategic planning, and operational planning
  • Ensure development, implementation, and monitoring of an action plan
  • Define and ensure implementation of activities to maximize business results
  • Establish management and communication practices for talent attraction and retention
  • Manage individual and collective performance to facilitate business plan execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or Statistics
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in actuarial work, advanced analytics, and coaching
  • Experience in coordinating projects and resources
  • Experience in Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken
