About the role

• Senior Java Developer responsible for end-to-end software development in a company specializing in innovative business solutions. Focused on modern Java architectures and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work across the full software development lifecycle (E2E), from refining requirements to deploying to production
• Design, develop and maintain applications using Java (versions 8, 11 and 17) and the Spring Framework (including Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch and Spring Security)
• Work with modern architectures such as Microservices, Hexagonal Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture
• Create and maintain high-quality REST APIs
• Ensure code quality by applying design principles and patterns (SOLID, Clean Code), Test-Driven Development (TDD) and participating in Code Reviews
• Develop and execute unit tests using tools like Mockito and JUnit, and ensure continuous quality with Sonar
• Ensure application security, focusing on API authorization and encryption
• Apply API resilience techniques using tools such as Resilience4j

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience with Java
• Strong expertise in Java (experience with versions 8, 11 and the latest 17)
• Proficiency with the Spring Framework: Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch and Spring Security
• Hands-on experience with Microservices and Hexagonal Architecture
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture
• REST API development
• Experience with Kafka, SQS/SNS or RabbitMQ
• Experience with AWS Cloud, specifically services like EKS (Kubernetes), S3, EC2, Lambda and Docker
• Version control systems: Git, using the Gitflow methodology and GitLab repository
• Relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle
• Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL, including writing queries, views, procedures and modifying queries
• Experience with MongoDB, Redis or DynamoDB
• Application of SOLID principles and writing Clean Code
• TDD (Test-Driven Development) and Code Review
• Testing: Mockito, JUnit and code analysis with Sonar
• Knowledge of observability to ensure application health: implementing tracing, metrics and log management
• Documentation tools: Confluence and Swagger
• Strong command of Agile development (Scrum and Kanban)
