Responsibilities
- Work across the full software development lifecycle (E2E), from refining requirements to deploying to production
- Design, develop and maintain applications using Java (versions 8, 11 and 17) and the Spring Framework (including Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch and Spring Security)
- Work with modern architectures such as Microservices, Hexagonal Architecture and Event-Driven Architecture
- Create and maintain high-quality REST APIs
- Ensure code quality by applying design principles and patterns (SOLID, Clean Code), Test-Driven Development (TDD) and participating in Code Reviews
- Develop and execute unit tests using tools like Mockito and JUnit, and ensure continuous quality with Sonar
- Ensure application security, focusing on API authorization and encryption
- Apply API resilience techniques using tools such as Resilience4j
Requirements
- More than 5 years of experience with Java
- Strong expertise in Java (experience with versions 8, 11 and the latest 17)
- Proficiency with the Spring Framework: Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Batch and Spring Security
- Hands-on experience with Microservices and Hexagonal Architecture
- Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture
- REST API development
- Experience with Kafka, SQS/SNS or RabbitMQ
- Experience with AWS Cloud, specifically services like EKS (Kubernetes), S3, EC2, Lambda and Docker
- Version control systems: Git, using the Gitflow methodology and GitLab repository
- Relational databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle
- Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL, including writing queries, views, procedures and modifying queries
- Experience with MongoDB, Redis or DynamoDB
- Application of SOLID principles and writing Clean Code
- TDD (Test-Driven Development) and Code Review
- Testing: Mockito, JUnit and code analysis with Sonar
- Knowledge of observability to ensure application health: implementing tracing, metrics and log management
- Documentation tools: Confluence and Swagger
- Strong command of Agile development (Scrum and Kanban)
