About the role

  • Analyst responsible for preparing financial statements and various reports while collaborating with clients. Assisting in accounting mandates and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the execution of compilation engagements across various industries;
  • Prepare financial statements, corporate and trust tax returns, and various financial reports;
  • Support clients, in collaboration with a manager colleague, on various accounting and operational issues;
  • Keep accounting and tax standards knowledge continuously up to date through the internal training program;
  • Assist the team on various projects to optimize efficiency and workplace satisfaction!

Requirements

  • College diploma in accounting or bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in a public accounting firm
  • Knowledge of CaseWare/CaseView, Excel, Taxprep (an asset)
  • Knowledge of accounting and assurance standards and basic taxation
  • Knowledge of investment holding companies (an asset)
  • Dedicated team player, curious, personable, detail-oriented, strong at prioritizing and autonomous
  • Strong sense of commitment to colleagues, clients and assigned mandates
