About the role

  • Quality Assurance Deputy Manager at MENTOR managing quality assurance teams and client audits. Focus on automotive quality management and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Quality Assurance in the technical and disciplinary leadership of staff at the Erkrath site
  • Lead the QA complaints management team, including preparation of 8D reports and deriving and implementing appropriate corrective and containment actions following root-cause analysis
  • Support preparation, execution and follow-up of customer, product and internal audits (Automotive and Non‑Automotive)
  • Participate in auditing plants and suppliers in coordination with the QMB (Quality Management Representative)
  • Assist in reviewing quality specifications (QSVs) and actively communicate with customers and suppliers
  • Contribute to the administration, maintenance and further development of the CAQ system
  • Operational execution of inspection planning and measuring equipment management at the Erkrath site
  • Monitoring of initial sample inspection reports (EMPBs) according to VDA or customer-specific requirements (organization)
  • Conduct training for employees

Requirements

  • Completed technical or engineering degree
  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in quality management (ideally in the automotive industry)
  • Knowledge of certification standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and OEM-/customer-specific requirements (CSRs)
  • Solid methodological knowledge of all common Automotive core tools according to VDA
  • Experience applying FMEA methodology and knowledge of metrology for quality-assuring series inspections
  • Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills, as well as strong communication and assertiveness—even in difficult negotiation situations
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
