About the role

  • Product Manager for Dayshape’s Core UI leading front-end strategy and development, focusing on user experience and design systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Core UI product vision and long-term roadmap, aligning UI strategy with Dayshape’s business goals.
  • Working jointly with the product design team, define and shape our front-end experience, including design principles, component strategy, and consistency.
  • Analyse market trends, customer feedback, competitor UX benchmarks, and usage analytics to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Develop a communication and change management strategy to ensure alignment and adoption across teams.
  • Work directly within the team to translate strategic UI goals into clear initiatives, epics, release and sprint goals.
  • Leverage an AI-first development mindset.
  • Ensure major UI transitions (e.g., Vue migration, design-system versioning) have clear adoption paths within the business.
  • Bring strong practical understanding of front-end development, component-driven architecture, UI performance, and accessibility.
  • Partner with the Product Designer to lead discovery activities including prototyping, usability studies, and UI experimentation.
  • Collaborate closely with both in-house and external developers, ensuring shared ownership of UI standards, governance processes, and component lifecycle.
  • Manage processes for new component requests and maintain a clear prioritisation framework.
  • Define and monitor UI quality metrics (speed, accessibility, usability, consistency, adoption of shared components).
  • Champion UI best practices across Dayshape, ensuring design and engineering teams converge around shared patterns.

Requirements

  • Have significant experience as a Product Manager in a B2B or enterprise SaaS environment.
  • Have owned platform-wide or cross-product areas, particularly involving UI/UX, design systems, or front-end technology domains.
  • Have practical familiarity with modern front-end frameworks, design systems, accessibility standards, UI experimentation, and UI performance principles.
  • Are comfortable engaging in detailed technical discussions, making informed trade-offs, and guiding engineers and contractors.
  • Have experience embracing AI tooling as part of your day-to-day work, with a clear understanding of its strengths, limitations, and appropriate use cases.
  • Can articulate long-term vision, break it into phases, and drive alignment across multiple teams.
  • Balance user value, technical considerations, business constraints, and organisational dependencies.
  • Have experience working closely with Technical Leads, Product Designers, internal developers, and external contractors.
  • Are an excellent communicator who can influence without authority, drive alignment, socialise roadmap changes, and challenge constructively.
  • Advocate for consistent and elegant user experiences across a large product surface.
  • Think holistically in systems, patterns, component libraries, and interaction models- not just isolated features.
  • Embrace discovery work and use experimentation and user insights to validate direction.

Benefits

  • At least £1,000 per year to spend on professional and personal development
  • 33 days' holiday per year (including bank holidays), increasing by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days
  • Paid four-week sabbatical in your fifth anniversary year on top of your holiday entitlement
  • Enhanced family leave policies
  • Private health insurance, including dental and vision benefits
  • Income protection and death in service cover
  • Matched 5% auto-enrolment workplace pension scheme
  • Access to wellbeing offerings, such as our Employee Assistance Programme and a dedicated counselling service
  • Volunteering time – up to 20 hours a year to participate in volunteer work
