About the role

  • IT-Service Engineer providing on-site support for end-user workplace services in Frankfurt, Mainz, or Ingelheim. Responsible for installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT hardware and software.

Responsibilities

  • On-site support for EUWS (End User Workplace Services)
  • IMAC/D and break & fix services for desktops, laptops and mobile devices
  • Installation and configuration of customer-deployed hardware and software
  • Printer support in a multi-vendor environment and print management
  • In-depth, non-standardized fault analysis within a customer-specific IT landscape
  • Reviewing and processing tasks using an electronic ticketing system
  • Handling trouble-ticket systems (including routing tickets to other departments)
  • Communication via ticketing systems, email and telephone
  • Installation, software servicing and integration of new systems
  • Execution of local relocations and hardware rollouts
  • Support for mobile devices
  • Support for training and conference rooms
  • Updating the knowledge database
  • Support of asset lifecycle management

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in IT or relevant professional experience in a similar role
  • Very good general IT knowledge (client hardware & software, standard applications such as Windows 10/11)
  • Know-how in LAN/WAN services and strong knowledge of various mobile devices
  • Good knowledge of call-tracking systems and experience working with SLAs
  • Competence in multi-vendor support for desktops, workstations, laptops, tablets and mobile devices
  • Affinity for documentation and continuous knowledge acquisition
  • Strong customer and service orientation, resilience, flexibility and excellent team skills
  • High level of reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Class B driver's license required (supporting branch sites assigned to the location)
  • Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
