About the role

  • IT Netzwerk Architekt designing and developing scalable network architectures at DATAGROUP. Lead infrastructure projects and enhance network solutions with modern technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Network architect with vision: You plan and develop stable, scalable, and future-proof network architectures—forward-looking, structured, and with technical finesse.
  • Pragmatic project leadership: Whether LAN, WAN, or WLAN—you take the lead on exciting infrastructure projects and ensure everything runs smoothly, even if things are a bit rough at the start.
  • Keeping technology up to date: You introduce modern technologies and advance our network solutions—for example in the areas of VPN, cloud, or automation.
  • Stagnation isn't your thing.
  • Expert-level troubleshooter: You analyze complex fault patterns, identify root causes, and develop smart strategies for the sustainable improvement of our networks—not just temporary fixes, but lasting solutions.
  • Documentation expert with overview: You keep not only the network running but also the documentation current—from operational manuals to clear network diagrams.
  • Team player with a big-picture perspective: You know good networks need more than cables and switches—you bring people together, support partner selection, and keep the overall picture in mind.
  • 3rd-level support: This is where you come in—calm, competent, and solution-oriented. You are the final escalation before a problem gives up.

Requirements

  • You have several years of hands-on networking experience—planning and operations are familiar territory for you.
  • You are at the forefront of WLAN technologies—CCNP or even CCIE-Enterprise is not just something you've heard of, but a certification you hold.
  • You are fluent in Python (or at least at an advanced/proficient level) and have automated more with Ansible than you can count.
  • You have led complex network projects—PRINCE2 or SCRUM are not just buzzwords to you.
  • Monitoring tools are more than colorful graphs to you—you know what to look for and why it matters.
  • You can explain technical topics so non-technical colleagues understand and can nod in agreement.
  • Your German is at a very good level and your English is fully sufficient for meetings and day-to-day business.

Benefits

  • A tailored onboarding with a personal mentor—you won’t be thrown into the deep end.
  • No day is the same: challenging, varied, and autonomous—but never boring.
  • Flat hierarchies instead of bureaucratic chains of command. Speak directly.
  • Flexibility as you need it: hybrid work, flexible hours, additional vacation days—this is a lived reality here.
  • Modern, well-equipped offices: height-adjustable desks, two monitors, quiet zones and open spaces—just how you like it.
  • JobRad & team spirit: whether road bike or e-bike—we’ll arrange your new wheels.
  • Pension plan? We’ve got it. And we contribute to it as a matter of course.
  • Well prepared for the future. Our corporate benefits invite you to shop and experience.
