About the role

  • IT Netzwerk Architekt planning and developing robust network infrastructures at DATAGROUP. Leading infrastructure projects and ensuring stability with a focus on modern technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Network architect with vision: You plan and develop stable, scalable and future-proof network architectures — forward-looking, structured and with technical finesse.
  • Project leadership with pragmatism: Whether LAN, WAN or WLAN (Wi‑Fi) — you lead exciting infrastructure projects and ensure everything runs smoothly, even if things are a bit rough at the start.
  • Up-to-date technology: You introduce modern technologies and further develop our network solutions — for example in the areas of VPN, cloud or automation.
  • Expert-level troubleshooter: You analyze complex fault patterns, identify root causes and devise smart strategies for sustainable improvement of our networks — not temporary fixes, but real solutions.
  • Documentation expert with overview: You keep not only the network running but also the documentation up to date — from the operations manual to clear network diagrams.
  • Team player with the big picture: You know that good networks require more than cables and switches — you bring people together, support partner selection and keep the overall perspective in mind.
  • 3rd-level support: This is where you come in — calm, competent and solution-oriented. You are the final escalation point before an issue escalates further.

Requirements

  • You have several years of hands-on networking experience — planning and operations are not new to you.
  • You are at the forefront of WLAN (Wi‑Fi) — you hold a CCNP or even a CCIE (Enterprise) certification.
  • You are fluent in Python (or at least business-competent) and have automated a lot with Ansible.
  • You have managed complex network projects — PRINCE2 or Scrum are not just buzzwords to you.
  • Monitoring tools are more than colorful graphs — you know what is alarming and why.
  • You can explain technical topics so non-technical colleagues understand and can follow.
  • Your German is at a very good level and your English is sufficient for meetings and day-to-day business.

Benefits

  • A personalized onboarding with a dedicated mentor — you won’t be thrown into the deep end.
  • No two days are the same: challenging, varied, autonomous — but never boring.
  • Flat hierarchies instead of bureaucratic chains of command. Speak directly.
  • Flexibility as you need it: hybrid working, flexible hours, additional vacation days — this is part of our culture.
  • Modernly equipped offices: height-adjustable desks, two monitors, quiet rooms and open spaces — set up the way you like.
  • Bike leasing (JobRad) & team spirit: whether road bike or e-bike — we’ll help you get moving. We also celebrate sports together (including sponsorship!).
  • Pension provision? We have it, generally with an employer contribution.
  • Our corporate benefits invite you to shop and enjoy experiences.
