About the role

  • Sachbearbeiter - Debitorenbuchhaltung handling accounts receivable at a leading energy contractor in Germany. Managing payment processing and accounts maintenance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and verify accounts receivable master data
  • Responsible for payment processing
  • Process direct debits and bank transfers
  • Reconcile accounts on an ongoing basis
  • Verify incoming payments for completeness
  • Perform various administrative tasks
  • Responsible for receivables monitoring and dunning/collection processes

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial vocational training, ideally with a focus on energy billing, the energy sector, property management/real estate, or an equivalent qualification
  • Industry experience or initial experience at a utility company or with a property management/real estate firm
  • Basic knowledge of accounts receivable and receivables management
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (especially Excel)
  • Strong openness to digital tools
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Experience with SAGE software is a plus
  • Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
