About the role
- Senior Product Engineer for Daikin, a global leader in air conditioning, focusing on product management and technical support. Collaborate across markets to enhance air conditioning solutions.
Responsibilities
- Development of a business plan to boost promotion and sales of products for central air conditioning and air handling systems.
- Provide technical support to Marketing, Applications, Sales, Service, and After-sales teams;
- Continuous monitoring of competitors (activities, products, strategies) and customer requirements to identify new market opportunities
- Feasibility studies of central air conditioning systems for new projects and retrofits in HVAC applications for commercial, hospital, and industrial use
- Liaise with other Daikin subsidiaries and manufacturing sites to exchange technical information;
- Prepare technical content for marketing and promotion, such as catalogs and product presentations, including translations and localization for the local market
- Define product technical specifications;
- Product registration, tax classification, and ensuring product compliance with national regulations
Requirements
- Technical training in refrigeration and air conditioning and/or a university degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related fields);
- Experience/knowledge in product management for the central air conditioning market, including liquid chillers, heat pumps, air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units (FCUs), as well as air and water distribution systems
- Preferably experience in central air conditioning systems market with solid knowledge of refrigeration circuits, psychrometrics, ventilation, filtration, and air diffusion
- Advanced English (reading, writing and speaking);
- Advanced MS Office skills;
- Desirable knowledge/experience in project analysis using CAD
- Desirable knowledge/experience with communication networks (LAN Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet) and automation/control systems
- Availability to work in a hybrid on-site / remote (home office) format;
- Availability for national and international travel
