About the role

  • Lead Solutions Architect designing and developing HR Technology domain architecture solutions at CVS Health. Driving technology and integration strategies to solve business problems aligned with enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Performing technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications
  • Developing specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings
  • Assessing the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies
  • Accountability and oversight for designing & building solutions for HR Technology from cradle to grave by providing leadership and oversight to tech leads who are intimately familiar with the application
  • Able to perform Buy vs Build analysis based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis across the available options to provide a final recommendation based on the rationale
  • Play a key role in architecture design reviews and identify gaps and recommend design changes
  • Leverage significant technical expertise and domain knowledge to identify apps optimization needs
  • Lead and drive proofs-of-concept and technology deep-dives specific to partner technologies
  • Advise and assist Application development teams with technical roadblocks such as performance challenges within a solution
  • Recommend or assess opportunities to drive cost efficiencies aimed at simplicity, configurability and eventual elimination of technical debt associated with applications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the architectural vision, strategy, and roadmap for the organization
  • Engage with business users, technology teams, and leadership to understand their needs, gathering requirements to ensure alignment between architectural solutions and business objectives
  • Participate in architecture reviews, provides recommendations, and oversees the implementation of governance frameworks
  • Evaluate emerging products & technologies, tools, and frameworks to support domain architectural decisions and provides recommendations for technology adoption
  • Encourage knowledge sharing, identify opportunities for enhancing architectural processes and methodologies, and support professional development initiatives for the architectural team.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' hands-on experience with Software design and development
  • 8+ years' SME level technical skills in: application, data, integration, and security architecture design
  • 4+ years' experience with Enterprise architecture and system design (including executing, planning, delivering & supporting solutions)
  • 4+ years' experience with Public Cloud (Azure/GCP)
  • 4+ years' experience with both SQL and NoSQL database technologies as well as Cloud database technologies
  • 2+ years' experience with SaaS/PaaS Platforms, e.g. Workday, Oracle Cloud, WorkBrain, UKG, MuleSoft, Boomi, OIC etc.
  • 2+ years' experience working with technologies that work as glue between modern applications and legacy platforms e.g. Kafka
  • 2+ years' experience with Security framework and SSO, OAuth/SAML/OIDC-based authentication
  • 2+ years' experience working with Micro services Architecture & APIs
  • 2+ years' experience working with Container Platform and deployment patterns
  • 1+ year experience with observability and implementation techniques
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • GCP/Azure Architect cloud certification preferred
  • SaaS Product certification preferred
  • Design & Building Apps with AI capabilities integrating to LLM’s preferred
  • Understanding of AI Apps implementation patterns and Agent frameworks preferred
  • Experience or exposure to process automation tools and technologies preferred
  • Collaboration, teamwork and growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) preferred.
