About the role

• Senior Front-end Engineer developing user interfaces for AI-powered presentation tool at fast-growing startup. Focus on scalable design systems, performance, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale advanced UI systems: Design and implement core parts of our front-end architecture with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Develop interactive product experiences: Build a powerful UI that combines text editing, drag-and-drop slide editing, AI chat, and real-time collaboration
• Own our design system: Develop and maintain a scalable component library, and build mechanisms to manage and apply customer-specific branding
• Collaborate on product evolution: Work closely with product, design, and AI teams to shape features through rapid iteration and experimentation
• Drive engineering excellence: Continuously improve front-end performance, developer experience, code quality standards, and testing practices

Requirements

• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership, creative thinking, and a pragmatic approach to building and shipping solutions quickly
• 3–5 years of experience building modern front-end applications in SaaS, with strong experience in React, TypeScript, and scalable front-end architectures
• Proven experience developing interactive UI systems (e.g. editors, design tools), incl. working with APIs and integrating front-end systems into complex backends
• Experience building and maintaining design systems or component libraries, with a strong understanding of modern CSS approaches
• Strong product sense and attention to detail, with a passion for building high-quality user experiences and a high bar for pixel-perfect UI/UX implementation
• Residency in Berlin or the surrounding area
• Fluency in English, our primary business language
• Availability to start on short notice
