About the role

  • UI engineer at CrowdStrike helping build data visualization framework and collaborating with design and engineering teams. Contributing to front-end features and improving code quality.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to front-end features and components under guidance from senior engineers
  • Implement data visualization components using established patterns and libraries
  • Participate in the code review process for your own code and that of your fellow UI Engineers
  • Participate in technical discussions and provide input on implementation approaches
  • Identify opportunities for code improvements and discuss with team leads
  • Ensure code quality is maintained by writing by unit, integration and end-to-end tests
  • Follow established coding standards and architectural patterns
  • Support maintenance and bug fixes for existing applications
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as UX designers, QA engineers, Product Managers, Data/API engineers, and others
  • Continually learn about the ever-evolving challenges and complexities of the cybersecurity industry as well as front-end engineering

Requirements

  • Experience with front-end engineering fundamentals (HTML, CSS, Javascript, RESTful API basics, Node/NPM)
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Experience with at least one front end framework such as Lit, Ember, React, Angular, or similar
  • Basic understanding of responsive UI design principles
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic development workflows
  • Willingness to learn data fetching and state management libraries
  • Interest in learning accessibility (a11y) best practices and tools
  • Exposure to build tools and package managers
  • Good collaboration and communication skills in verbal and written formats
  • Be an advocate for UX consistency, accessibility and empathy for the end user
