About the role

• Pricing Analyst role in the Commercial Pricing team at Covéa, a UK-based insurance provider. Focused on implementing pricing strategies and supporting pricing capability through analysis and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Implement agreed rate changes through model deployments and updates to rate specifications
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases to validate rate changes
• Analyse and assess new rating factors and collaborate on pricing structures that incorporate them
• Support pricing capability by ensuring robust controls are adhered to and the governance framework is followed and evidenced
• Support IT project development by shaping the pricing updates required
• Build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the pricing, analytical and data science tools used across the team, including Willis Towers Watson Radar, SAS Enterprise Guide, SQL and Databricks
• Automate, streamline, and document pricing processes to improve efficiency
• Undertake other duties over and above those listed in the job description, appropriate to your skills and experience

Requirements

• Experience in insurance pricing or keen to pursue a career in the field
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and effective time management
• Clear communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships
• Self-motivated, resilient, and able to work under pressure independently and within a team
• Experience analysing data and interpreting results (desirable)
• Understanding of general insurance pricing and underwriting principles, supported by a 2:1 or higher in a numerical discipline or equivalent experience (desirable)
