About the role

  • Analyst in Statistics team analyzing clinical and health data for Costello Medical, delivering insights on patient-level clinical trials and real-world data.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Statistics team on projects involving statistical analysis of clinical and health data.
  • Conduct detailed analyses and present methods and results to clients and the wider community.
  • Analyse patient-level clinical trial data, observational study data, and real-world data.
  • Synthesize published aggregate data to answer questions about relevant treatments or therapeutic areas.
  • Collaborate with Statisticians to plan analyses and determine appropriate methodologies.
  • Critically appraise statistical analyses, interpret results, and present findings.
  • Participate in teleconferences and face-to-face meetings with external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree-level qualification in a scientific discipline (minimum 2.1 or equivalent).
  • Postgraduate qualifications (minimum 2.1 or equivalent) would be an advantage, but they are not a requirement for the role.
  • An interest in working with complex numerical data.
  • Being self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in healthcare and an eagerness to learn and develop your skills.
  • An exceptional level of attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage your time to work across multiple projects at the same time and prioritise tasks appropriately.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing scientific documents.
  • A proactive mindset, including the ability to recognise challenges and suggest solutions with limited guidance.
  • A collaborative approach to working.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
