About the role

• Back-end Developer at COSMOTE delivering innovative ICT solutions and services. Focused on Cloud services, Data Centre operations, and Cybersecurity among others.

Responsibilities

• Development of back-end website applications.
• Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server side logic.
• Implement core business logic.
• Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
• Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
• Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Design and develop APIs.
• Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
• Taking lead on projects, as needed.
• Maintenance of code integrity and organization.
• Writing clean, functional code on the back-end.
• Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
• Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
• Meet both technical and consumer needs.
• Write technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 17+ years of experience in IT with at least 5 towards Back end development
• Expert knowledge of Java/JEE (minimum 10 years)
• Expert knowledge of Cloud-based DevOps (minimum 3 years)
• Advanced knowledge of Weblogic Application Server (minimum 1 year)
• **Mandatory** Java EE Application Developer Certification
• **At least two years of experience in each of the following would be considered as additional assets:**** Spring** Postman** MySQL** Maven** Git** Angular 10+** eREST services** Jira** Confluence** Kafka** Swagger** Kubernetes ** Docker** AWS/Azure ** ElsticSearch **Junit**Experience of development with Compass Corporate would also be appreciated.
• **Additional Requirements:**
• Proficiency with back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, PHP, Spring boot and Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
• Familiarity with database technology such as Oracle, MongoDB.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
• Good redaction skills.
• Ability to give technical presentations.
