Refrigeration Project Engineer designing and managing engineering projects from conception to completion at Core States Group. Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams ensuring compliance to deliver high-quality solutions.
Responsibilities
As a Refrigeration Project Engineer, you will design and manage engineering projects from conception through completion.
You will leverage your expertise in refrigeration and controls design, construction, and installation to deliver high-quality, code-compliant solutions.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and structural engineers, architects, and construction project managers.
Be responsible for the production, coordination, and quality control of refrigeration engineering construction documents while ensuring alignment with client requirements, code compliance, and site-specific adaptations.
Conduct site visit investigations and generate reports and recommendations based on findings.
Produce design tasks and reports under the direction of senior staff.
Assist in maintaining task budgets.
Coordinate and assist with addendums, RFI's and change orders.
Assist in coordinating the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of a project.
Assist senior staff with the project approval process.
Other related responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the objectives of this role.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related discipline).
4+ years of experience in refrigeration system design and preparation of construction documents, preferably for commercial projects such as retail grocery supermarkets or cold storage facilities.
Experience in refrigeration equipment selection and sizing (compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, pressure-regulating valves) and piping design (sizing and layout)
EIT preferred
Revit, MS Office required, AutoCAD is a plus
