About the role

  • Investment Analyst supporting deal origination, execution, and portfolio monitoring at a private equity firm. Collaborating with senior professionals and performing detailed financial analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting deal origination efforts, including outreach support, inbound opportunity screening, and maintaining a live pipeline/CRM
  • Building and maintaining detailed financial models (3-statement, sources & uses, returns, sensitivities, scenario analysis)
  • Analyzing historical financials, normalizing EBITDA, and identifying key diligence issues and value drivers
  • Assisting in the preparation of investment committee materials, including investment memoranda, presentations, and supporting analyses
  • Supporting execution workstreams including IOIs/LOIs, lender materials, CIM review, data room requests, and diligence trackers
  • Conducting market and industry research (TAM, unit economics, competitive landscape, customer dynamics, fragmentation, pricing)
  • Coordinating with third-party advisors (legal, accounting, insurance, lenders, QoE) and assisting with diligence calls and meeting notes
  • Assisting with portfolio company reporting, KPI tracking, and performance monitoring, including monthly/quarterly variance analysis
  • Helping develop repeatable tools and processes for underwriting, diligence, and portfolio monitoring
  • Supporting ad hoc strategic initiatives as needed across the firm

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; finance, economics, accounting, or quantitative discipline preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, transaction advisory, or related analytical roles
  • Demonstrated financial modeling capability; strong Excel proficiency required
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information clearly
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and self-directed; comfort operating in a lean team environment
