About the role
- Systems Administrator supporting the FAA's IT Services Enterprise with virtualization platforms and cloud infrastructure management. Installing and maintaining cloud services in Azure and AWS environments.
Responsibilities
- install, configure, and maintain storage arrays, FC switches, and hosts on the SAN and NAS infrastructure
- install, configure, and maintain all operating systems supported within the FAA IT Services Enterprise including Linux RedHat and Microsoft Windows
- Provide Systems Administration support for virtualization platforms such as VMware
- Run reports and health checks using scripting technologies (PowerShell and/or Python)
- Provide technical support responding to on-call alerts, helpdesk tickets, and customer engagements
- Perform administrative duties involving backup platforms
- Support network hardware/software, vulnerability, service pack, and security bulletins
- Support Security Compliance/POAM activities
- Provision servers and services with Terraform/Ansible toolchain
- Support monitoring resources across cloud domains in Azure and AWS
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, and/or other IT degree
- five (5) years of relevant experience
- A Bachelor's degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience
- A Master's degree in a pertinent discipline is generally equivalent to a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
- A High School Diploma plus four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be generally adequate
