- Assist or guide others within assigned technical areas to ensure compliance and best practices
- Provide technical and decision-making support, including data analysis, to manage quality and food safety issues
- Collaborate across functions to maintain food safety and quality standards for company products
- Design and implement processes and procedures within your technical area to drive continuous improvement
- Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of QA initiatives and supplier process improvements
- Interface with company facilities and packaging suppliers to maintain strong relationships and regulatory compliance
- Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance food safety and quality performance
Requirements
- BS in Food, Biological, or Chemical Science or related field required
- 5+ years of industry experience in food safety, quality, or regulatory affairs
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, technologies, and packaging requirements
- Strong report writing, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in food packaging (GFSI, FSMA, FDA, USDA)
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and influence others
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, data analysis, and investigative techniques
- Travel 25-75%
