About the role
- Principal Platform Engineer managing IT Operations for x15 Ventures. Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure while ensuring service continuity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure and internal platforms (e.g. AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Improve on developer and platform experience through automation, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service tooling
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) with strong governance, change controls, and auditability
- Embed DevSecOps practices into the platform, ensuring security, compliance, and risk controls are built in by default
- Own and improve IT operational systems (PagerDuty, Observability Stacks, Assurance tooling)
- Establish and lead framework for incident management and response.
- Be accountable for Service Management, including Data Backup Management and Service Continuity.
Requirements
- Experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar
- Comfortable working across both engineering and IT operations
- Strong cloud experience (AWS/Azure)
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred, Serverless Framework, CloudFormation, SST)
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity
- Experience with CI/CD and automation
