About the role

  • Scrum Master coaching cross-functional agile teams developing financial administration solutions at Computershare in Edinburgh. Supporting product delivery, fostering collaboration, and leading agile initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coach cross-functional scrum teams that develop, deliver, and sustain products across a portfolio of applications
  • Support Product Owners and development teams regarding backlog management and value delivery
  • Facilitate scrum events to be purposeful, effective, action oriented and encourage continuous improvement
  • Create a safe environment for teams to experiment with new opportunities and ideas
  • Guide each team towards self-organisation and promote a collaborative culture
  • Work with each team to resolve impediments to team progress and remove blockages outwith their control
  • Support organisation wide agile initiatives as an active contributor to our Global Agile Community.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a similar role ideally within cross-functional agile teams
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge and application of agile principles, frameworks, methodologies and practices.
  • Proven skills and knowledge of servant leadership, coaching, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, and empowerment.
  • Experience of supporting and creating Agile training materials for delivery team as well as the wider organization
  • Experience supporting Product Owners with creating, prioritizing and managing backlogs.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, tech, and pass on knowledge.
  • Self-motivation and innovative thinking for outside the box solutions.
