Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership and mentoring in applying existing technologies and the adoption of new ones
Coach the team towards the desired behaviours, shared values, and high performance as individuals and as a team
Deliver software projects, ensuring timelines, quality and successful transition to Operations
Identify risks, remove blockers and ensure smooth execution
Align engineering efforts with business goals and customer needs
Implement best practices and processes aligned to Technology Strategy
Foster a culture of mindful innovation
Support and contribute to the definition of engineering standards and promote their adoption
Support enablement of engineering through early engagement with projects and programs
Support and guidance around alignment of capabilities and practices with quality objectives
Requirements
6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role
Strong proficiency in modern software engineering technologies and concepts
Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Azure
Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures
Familiarity with Azure Pipelines, containerisation
Strong debugging, performance turning and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to balance technical depth with strategic thinking
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
