About the role

  • Research Analyst conducting comprehensive surveys of voluntary mental health and substance use services in BC. Supporting data-driven policy advocacy for CMHA BC.

Responsibilities

  • Survey existing mental health and substance use care programs in BC
  • Produce a briefing paper visualizing available voluntary care and identifying barriers
  • Conduct targeted research using literature, databases, and interviews
  • Develop data management systems and prepare reports of findings
  • Collaborate for knowledge translation with specialized and general audiences
  • Ensure research outputs align with ethical and community-based standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, public administration, public health, health sciences, health information science, social sciences, political science, or related studies
  • Minimum of 3 years’ recent related experience in policy-oriented secondary research
  • Experience in supporting or conducting primary research
  • Writing skills for documents such as research summaries, briefing notes, and reports
  • Engagement with people with lived or living experience of mental illness and/or substance use.
  • Experience in the mental health and substance use sector
  • Working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
