About the role
- Staff Platform Engineer managing and maintaining Helm charts for Cloudera's Taikun Managed Apps Catalog. Ensuring application integration and deployment workflows in cloud-native environments.
Responsibilities
- Gather and maintain Helm charts for applications in the Taikun Managed Apps Catalog.
- Update and test Helm charts to ensure compatibility, reliability, and security.
- Integrate applications into the Taikun platform, ensuring smooth deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with backend and platform teams to improve app management processes.
- Monitor upstream application changes and keep catalog entries up to date.
- Document app integration processes and best practices.
- Work closely with QA to verify application deployments in different environments.
Requirements
- 6+ years proven experience with Kubernetes and Helm
- Strong understanding of application packaging and deployment in cloud-native environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows for maintaining and testing Helm charts
- Solid Linux skills and experience working with containerized applications
- Good collaboration and communication skills
- Bsc/MSc in related field or equivalent experience
- Experience with GitOps workflows (Flux, Argo CD)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack)
- Familiarity with security scanning tools for container images and Helm charts
- Contributions to open-source projects, especially in the Helm/Kubernetes space
