About the role
- Senior Software Engineer for Cloudera DataFlow team maintaining Kubernetes operations. Drive releases and increase product test coverage while collaborating with distributed teams in US and Hungary.
Responsibilities
- Drive Cloudera DataFlow Experience releases, perform system test analysis
- Foster the evolution of the team’s quality tools, frameworks and test suites
- Troubleshoot system level issues, root cause analysis, and resolve failures
- Measure, maintain and increase product test coverage
- Gain a solid understanding and deep technical knowledge of Kubernetes deployment
- Develop Helm charts and Go-lang Operators for Kubernetes
- Work with modern, Kubernetes based test infrastructure
- Work on improving the internal infrastructure
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in designing and developing software solutions
- Experience Go-lang language
- Experience with Kubernetes and containers
- Experience with automated testing, delivery pipeline tools, CI/CD solutions
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Solid interpersonal skills conducive to a distributed team environment
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to identify critical weak spots in software systems
- Self-driven & motivated personality
- Experience with cloud platform services (any or all of Azure/AWS/Google) is a plus
- Development experience in Linux environments
- Proficiency with Ansible or Terraform
- Hands-on knowledge of Java or Python or JavaScript is a plus
- Big Data / data flow management experience is a plus
- Relevant studies / BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
