About the role
- Senior Android Developer responsible for scaling Clara’s Android experience and delivering financial software solutions in Latin America. Collaborating with cross-functional teams for high-impact features.
Responsibilities
- Drive Clara’s Android technical roadmap in collaboration with Engineering leadership.
- Architect modular, reusable components using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android libraries.
- Lead development initiatives of new product features while improving app reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Promote and uphold high engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship.
- Contribute to hiring and onboarding as we scale the Android team.
- Advocate for a product-driven, quality-focused mobile engineering culture.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional Android development experience, including 2+ years in a senior or technical leadership role.
- Deep expertise with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
- Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Hilt or Dagger.
- Familiarity with performance tuning, crash reporting, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Working proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Strong communication skills and a track record of mentoring or coaching engineers.
