About the role
- Manager of Accounting & Financial Reporting at Claire’s leading external financial reporting and corporate accounting close process. Collaborating with teams to ensure accuracy in financial statements and compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and drive consistent application of U.S. GAAP.
- Support oversight of month-end accounting close procedures.
- Collaborate with FP&A to analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
- Support preparation of monthly internal reporting package.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Manage relationship with external auditors for matters related to financial reporting.
- Collaborate with accounts payable team to enhance processes and controls.
- Assist with special projects and needs of executive management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- Master’s degree preferred
- Active CPA license
- 4-5 years public accounting experience (preferably Big 4)
- 3-5 years of recent financial reporting experience
- Hyperion Essbase experience
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
- Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism
