About the role

  • Project Manager overseeing engineering data processes for a startup developing a mapping platform for utilities. Leading digitization tasks, managing teams, and ensuring project quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate digitization tasks and workflows, ensuring alignment on timelines and priorities with stakeholders.
  • Provide detailed markup and interpretation of utility engineering records and as-builts.
  • Conduct quality assurance on digitized deliverables.
  • Manage subcontractors, internal teams, and customers to facilitate smooth project execution and process scaling.
  • Collaborate closely with Data and Customer Success leadership to refine operational processes.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in project management within subsurface utility engineering (SUE)
  • Preferred: Additional background as a field technician and/or utilities research coordinator.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and techniques (e.g., task tracking, stakeholder reporting, timeline management).
  • Strong ability to interpret civil engineering plans, record drawings, and as-builts
  • Comfortable with GIS and/or CAD software (ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation)
  • Process-driven and always looking to optimize
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
