About the role
- Software Engineer developing and implementing microservices-based architecture at citema systems in Dresden. Collaborating with teams on security concepts and software platform migration.
Responsibilities
- Further development and implementation of our microservices-based architecture
- Evaluation and establishment of a Service Mesh infrastructure and API gateways
- Establishment of security concepts on the platform
- Ensuring security in service-to-service communication and for incoming and outgoing calls via Ingress and Egress configurations and extensions
- Establishment of a telemetry-driven approach on the software platform
- Collaboration with development, product, and security teams throughout the entire development lifecycle
- Support for migrating existing and new applications to the software platform
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- More than 2 years of experience in software development
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Strong knowledge of API design, security concepts in service-oriented infrastructures (e.g., Ingress/Egress, Service Meshes, and API gateways) and the use of OpenTelemetry
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git version control, and agile development methodologies
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts and aspects to other technical teams
- Very good written and spoken German required
