About the role
- Software Engineer developing platform independent software solutions for CISCO. Specializing in routing protocols and validating functional solutions with high performance team.
Responsibilities
- Develop platform independent software solutions and specialize at OSPF, ISIS, BGP, Multicast and OAM protocols.
- Validate and test the functional and solutions for the PI software.
- Participate in the entire workflow of the release starting from the requirement till the GA for the release.
- Develop and use AI agents for the day to day work including the test planning till the automation.
- Understand the whole customer use cases and solutions.
- Review the design documents, prepare the test plan, automation and manual testing.
Requirements
- B.E./ BTech in Computer Science, ECE, or a related field
- 4–8 years of software development testing experience
- Strong proficiency in Python Scripting
- In-depth understanding of routing protocols such as OSPF, ISIS, MCAST, EIGRP, Segment Routing
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, multicast, switching, forwarding)
- Experience working with or developing for NX-OS or similar network operating systems
- Familiarity with YANG, SNMP, or model-driven telemetry
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
