About the role
- Assistant Underwriter supporting the Financial Lines team at CFC. Managing renewals and engaging with brokers in Brisbane.
Responsibilities
- Manage and service the **existing Financial Lines portfolio** alongside senior underwriters
- Provide **exceptional customer service** to brokers and internal stakeholders
- Conduct **regular portfolio reviews** to monitor performance and profitability
- Stay informed of **industry developments** and market trends
- Ensure compliance with **legislation, insurer guidelines**, and company policies
- Attend **industry functions** and networking events as required
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience within the Insurance industry, ideally in an Underwriting support capacity
- Positive, professional, can-do attitude with a strong sense of accountability
- Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable with IT systems
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team setting
- Understanding of the Australian insurance market
