About the role

  • Experienced Project Architect at CetraRuddy leading design processes for diverse projects. Overseeing project development and team workflow within a collaborative architecture firm.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Principal in charge, providing guidance and insight while overseeing your team’s workflow and success
  • Lead project design and development, including preparation of drawings, specifications, and presentations
  • Assist in managing projects through all phases, from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards
  • Participate in the development of the project schedule, scope, budget, staffing planning, and construction planning
  • Responsible for the effective management of change orders
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients to align strategies and objectives
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and ensuring seamless workflow
  • Oversee project staffing, fee management, and scheduling while fostering team cohesion and efficiency
  • Review and assemble comprehensive drawing sets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to codes
  • Produce complete and detailed sets of architectural drawings independently
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate project progress, resolve issues, and ensure design intent is met

Requirements

  • Professional Architecture Degree, Master's preferred
  • 12+ years of related experience
  • Licensure is preferred; actively pursuing or on a defined path toward licensure if not licensed
  • Demonstrated strength of technical knowledge & design sensibility
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 3D modeling & BIM documentation tools, including Revit and the Adobe Suite
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques
  • Demonstrated experience developing CD Sets, including detailing ability and coordination of consultants
