About the role
- Senior Financial Analyst supporting financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for CCC, a leading cloud platform for the insurance economy.
Responsibilities
- Work with leadership to validate trends and incorporate updated assumptions into the detailed annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
- Provide, review and analyze information as part of the monthly close cycle.
- Prepare variance analysis of monthly results vs. prior year, budget and monthly forecast; month by month trends, etc.
- Develop efficient, effective operating reports on key drivers of business and company performance.
- Analyze financial data, draw conclusions and present recommendations on decisions and actions.
- Update and provide improvements to financial models.
- Assist in building business cases for new product initiatives, including ROI, payback, and sensitivity analysis.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to align financial assumptions with roadmap and delivery timelines.
- Support capitalization accounting by tracking eligible development costs.
- Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvement recommendations.
Requirements
- B.S. in Business field (e.g., Finance, Accounting)
- 4 + years of FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience
- Experience with technology/IT/SaaS company preferred
- Understanding of accounting and financial theory
- Experience with monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, as well as ad hoc analysis
- Experience with financial modelling, both payroll and non-payroll
- Experience with FP&A tools (Adaptive Insights, Anaplan) and data visualization tools highly desired (Power BI/Tableau)
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- High level of intellectual curiosity, with ability to explain variances in terms of business drivers
- CPA or MBA a plus, but not required.
