About the role

  • Parts Inventory Analyst at Caterpillar optimizing dealer inventory strategies through data-driven insights. Collaborating with a multifunctional team in the EAME region to improve parts availability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary business and system support contact for dealers using the Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC) platform
  • Deliver monthly inventory performance analysis packs and provide actionable insights to support dealer inventory reviews
  • Learn and apply advanced data analysis techniques and inventory management logic
  • Lead or support projects such as: 1. Identifying root causes of service loss 2. Explaining inventory growth 3. Evaluating alternative stocking policies 4. Quantifying business impacts of changes in dealer stocking behavior
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across divisions
  • Leverage SAS, Power BI, and other analytical tools to extract insights and drive improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • A customer-focused mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficiency in SAS, Power BI, or other data analytics tools
  • Understanding of Supply Chain and Inventory Management principles
