About the role
- Energy Engineer performing decarbonization studies and energy audits for various industries. Focus on innovative energy solutions, green technologies, and improving energy efficiency in projects.
Responsibilities
- Key Energy Engineer performing decarbonization studies, energy audits, and retro-commissioning
- Play a key role in performing energy audits (ASHRAE Level 1 through investment grade), for clients spanning all industries
- A comprehensive understanding of common and complex building systems
- Identify and strategically recommend new and innovative energy and carbon reducing measures to meet individual client’s goals and objectives
- Inventory greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and establish energy and GHG baselines
- Become proficient in performing calculations to quantify and report on annual energy/cost savings and GHG reductions
- Develop project cost estimates
- Utilize our vast array of calibrated testing equipment to perform hands-on retro-commissioning field-testing activities
- Develop decarbonization and electrification strategic plans
- Prepare technical reports in a creative manner
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working on energy, decarbonization and/or sustainability projects
- Bachelor's Degree
- Working experience completing Energy Audits and/or Retro commissioning projects
- Degree in an Engineering discipline
- Working knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC components, systems and distribution, and controls
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word & PowerPoint and have a working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Completed or working toward PE certification
- Completed or working toward CEM, CBCP, EBCP and/or other AEE certifications
