About the role

  • Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace in Krakow developing embedded software for Communication, Navigation and Surveillance systems with innovative aviation technology.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to project planning by providing time estimates, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of technical tasks.
  • Develop and maintain embedded/application software (C, C++, C#, MATLAB), including requirements, architecture, coding, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Design and execute tests, including test cases, procedures, scripts, and both informal and formal test runs.
  • Support documentation and certification efforts, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and processes.
  • Drive innovation by identifying and exploring new technologies to enable continuous improvement and performance gains.

Requirements

  • University education with major in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 7 years working experience as Embedded software developer/ engineer, ability to code and perform code review in C++. Experience or knowledge of airborne surveillance functions (TCAS, Transponder, UAT) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of software development processes and best practices, experience with defining software architecture
  • Knowledge of software configuration and change management practices with DOORS and Atlassian tools. Experienced in communication via ethernet.
  • Any of the below is a huge advantage: knowledge of commercial airborne standards including RTCA DO-178B, scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python)
  • Excellent command of English language
