About the role

  • Principal Hardware Engineer for Honeywell Aerospace focusing on development of Weather Radar products. Collaborating with talented engineers to design and validate solutions for aerospace applications.

Responsibilities

  • Be a part of Honeywell’s exciting Weather Radar product line
  • Use advanced knowledge of hardware engineering discipline to help Honeywell Aerospace deliver innovative solutions
  • Contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of Weather Radar products by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market
  • Maintain a heavy focus on quality, roll-throughput yield, aftermarket, and factory support
  • Have ownership and accountability for sustainment of our fielded radar products
  • Provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs
  • Act as a mentor to junior engineers
  • Interact with internal and external customers to facilitate product completion to specifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics (Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • 10 years of experience in Aerospace or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of DO254 and DO160G.
  • Strong understanding of FAA and TSO certification processes.
  • Master’s Degree (EE, Avionics, Aerospace, MBA) preferred.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of weather radar concepts to advance Honeywell’s world-class radar technologies and products.
  • Deep understanding of a variety of hardware engineering standards and specifications.
  • Capability to complete demanding assignments by applying advanced hardware engineering methods and tools.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams to deliver optimal solutions relative to weather radar.
  • Strong understanding of export requirements and classifications.
  • Ability to consistently make timely decisions and balance program demands.
  • Clearly and concisely convey subtle or complex messages to a variety of audiences.
