About the role
- Full-Stack Software Engineer II architecting and enhancing microservices for Honeywell Aerospace's solutions. Collaborating with Agile teams to improve aviation operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Legacy Application Migration: Re-architect and transform monolithic applications into scalable microservices, ensuring seamless transitions.
- Cloud-Native Development: Design and build scalable systems utilizing microservices architecture. Deploy applications using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes. Develop APIs to facilitate secure and efficient data exchanges.
- Data Management: Architect secure data management solutions with an emphasis on compliance and data security standards within a zero-trust framework using PostgreSQL and SQL Server as well as NoSQL databases.
- Automation: Develop CI/CD pipelines to assure high availability and rapid deployment of features.
- Collaboration: Work closely with systems engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects to align on project objectives, facilitating a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
- University education majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient in at least one of the following technologies: Java, Spring Boot, NextJS, C#, .NET, PHP, Python, ReactJS, TypeScript.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with database management systems and data platforms such as Kafka, Teradata, Hadoop, or similar.
- A strong collaborative approach, with a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions.
