About the role

  • Providing clerical support in the HSC Security Services department at Shared Health in Winnipeg. Ensuring effective staffing and reporting activities in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Providing clerical support to the HSC Security Services department.
  • Processing job postings and related paperwork.
  • Maintaining position control and registering new hires in orientation sessions.
  • Ensuring that the Manager(s) is/are aware of staffing levels.
  • Maintaining information and employee profiles in the staff scheduling system.
  • Updating the day to day schedule changes and running staffing reports as requested.
  • Entering reports in the security reporting program.
  • Performing duties in the Access Card office and other clerical duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years previous related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Experience with the SAP payroll program preferred.
  • Experience with scheduling including long call and short call required.
  • Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills required.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Typing 50 wpm.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
