About the role
- General Accountant ensuring financial compliance and reporting in a dynamic fintech environment. Handling general and tax accounting tasks with a focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accounting records across all cycles
- Review, record, and submit supplier invoices for approval, then prepare payments
- Monitor and optimize cash management
- Prepare routine tax filings (VAT, corporate income tax, and other applicable taxes)
- Ensure compliance with accounting and tax obligations in coordination with the Head of Finance and external service providers
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings within deadlines
- Contribute to improving and strengthening existing closing processes
- Help harmonize financial reporting for Blank and Kolecto in collaboration with Kolecto's Accounting Manager
- Serve as the operational contact for external auditors during audits (preparing documentation, responding to requests, etc.)
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience in general accounting
- Experience in fintech, a regulated environment, or an accounting firm is a strong plus
- Excellent knowledge of general accounting and French and international tax rules
- Proficiency with accounting tools/ERP systems
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
