About the role

  • Data Scientist intern working with R&D team at SogetiLabs, developing AI solutions for various sectors' challenges. Focus on image processing and machine learning technologies in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • You will join the SogetiLabs R&D team made up of researchers and AI experts working across a range of sectors.
  • You will work within one of our research teams and contribute to the development of innovative AI solutions applied to real-world problems across various sectors (e.g.: early breast cancer detection, object detection for autonomous vehicles, development of sign-language-to-speech interpreters, image analysis in oceanography, etc.).
  • Image processing & Computer Vision
  • Object detection, segmentation and classification (YOLO, Faster R-CNN, RT-DETR…)
  • Analysis and preprocessing of images from microwave sensors, medical imaging, satellites, drones or the web
  • Feature extraction, noise reduction, artifact correction
  • Adaptation to inter-individual or environmental variability
  • Development & evaluation of AI models
  • Training, optimization and comparison of CV/Deep Learning architectures
  • Design of decision-support modules or qualitative/quantitative imaging tools
  • Implementation of end-to-end training pipelines
  • Integration of models into tools or web platforms
  • Scientific research
  • Review of the scientific literature
  • Testing, validation and critical analysis of developed models
  • Contribution to scientific publications and technical presentations

Requirements

  • Final year of a Master's program in AI, image processing, data science or applied mathematics
  • Looking for a 1-year work-study / apprenticeship placement
  • Proficiency in Python and strong foundations in machine learning / deep learning
  • Experience in computer vision (detection, segmentation, classification) and signal processing or imaging is a plus
  • Knowledge of the DICOM standard or Federated Learning is also a plus depending on the projects
  • Familiarity with AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
  • You demonstrate scientific rigor, curiosity and critical thinking
  • Good written and spoken English (minimum B2).
