- Design & Release Engineer for Propulsion Systems at Capgemini Engineering, developing expertise in automotive propulsion system components with a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the design, specification, testing, and validation of propulsion system components for assigned vehicle families
- Assisting with documentation for component changes, including specifications and engineering changes
- Participating in the development and execution of validation plans (DVP&R) to ensure components meet functional requirements
- Analyzing component failures and contributing to problem-solving processes under guidance from senior team members
- Learning to utilize 2D and 3D design software (NX) to create and modify component designs for internal combustion engines, electric motors, and structural components
- Supporting cost reduction initiatives while maintaining component performance standards
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers on part development according to established processes
Requirements
- Good conversational English (B2, C1, C2)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electro-mechanical, or related field)
- 1-3 years of experience (Junior/Mid level) in the automotive industry or related engineering field, with exposure to product development processes
- Knowledge of automotive systems, particularly internal combustion engines and vibration/shock absorption components such as rubber-metal brackets used in cooling systems or body structures
- Familiarity with computer-aided design software, preferably NX and/or CATIA
- Basic understanding of testing and validation methodologies in an engineering environment
- Good analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving
- Willingness to learn and develop expertise in automotive engineering and propulsion systems.
