About the role
- Senior Financial Structurer specializing in financial structuring of solar projects for Candi, a solar-focused renewable energy company operating in emerging markets.
Responsibilities
- Managing solar transactions, including negotiation, due diligence, financial modelling
- Performing financial, structuring and legal analysis on target deals
- Reviewing and negotiating legal documentation with external parties
- Working closely with Business Development, Risk, Engineering, Finance and Asset Management
- Pitching to clients and coming up with innovative solutions
- Analysing, pricing and executing opportunities in secondary markets
- Helping to define and execute on the strategy for solar projects
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in financial and/or legal structuring and/or M&A
- Several years of experience structuring C&I or utility scale solar projects
- An affinity for numbers and quantitative matters
- A solid understanding of financial risks
- A solid understanding of solar financial products
- Experience with legal documentation
- Ability to coordinate and interact with various stakeholders
- Good at juggling multiple transactions and projects
- A track record of thriving in a fast-paced environment
- A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office / Google suite and other remote working tools
- Excellent written and spoken English required
- A degree in finance, business, law or related qualifying experience
