About the role
- Advogado(a) supporting legal operations in both advisory and contentious matters at Cakto. Ensuring legal security and contributing to the growth of the company under Brazilian law.
Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients, suppliers, partners and service providers.
- Handling litigation, including filing petitions and initiating lawsuits, drafting court documents, defenses and appeals.
- Representing the company at hearings, when required.
- Providing legal support to internal departments (HR, Technology, Product and Finance).
- Preventive work in corporate, civil and labor law, with a focus on risk mitigation.
- Supporting compliance, LGPD (Brazilian Data Protection Law) and legal best practices.
- Liaising with and managing external law firms and monitoring case progress.
- Assessing legal risks and proposing solutions aligned with business objectives.
Requirements
- Law degree with active OAB registration (Brazilian Bar Association).
- Previous experience as in-house counsel or at a law firm serving corporate clients.
- Proven litigation experience, including filing and initiating lawsuits and representing clients at hearings.
- Strong knowledge of corporate contracts and corporate legal routine.
- Good communication skills, organization, autonomy and business acumen.
- Experience with technology companies, fintechs or payment providers.
- Knowledge of LGPD (Brazilian Data Protection Law).
- Analytical, proactive and solution-oriented profile.
